Is Viviology skincare suitable for all skin types?
Our products have been formulated with as many different skin types in mind as possible. However, not every product will be suitable for absolutely every skin type or skin concern. Please consult your skincare or medical professional if you have any concerns about the use of Viviology skincare products. Due to the potency and concentration of some cosmeceutical ingredients, certain products are not advised for use in children under 16 years of age.
Can I use Viviology skincare products if I have sensitive skin?
Our products have been formulated to be as gentle and considerate of your skin as possible. However, as a results-based cosmeceutical skincare range, our products do contain powerful active ingredients in the concentrations required to effect change. For this reason, we suggest conducting a patch test on a small, inconspicuous area of skin prior to using the product for the first time.
I’ve had a reaction to a Viviology skincare product - what should I do?
We are very sorry to hear that - rest assured that this is a rare occurrence. Please ensure that you cease use of the suspected product immediately and consult with your GP. Please also call our Customer Service team on +613 9344 1671 to discuss your concerns.
Why do I need to use SPF when using certain Viviology products?
We strongly advocate for SPF use at all times of the year and in every weather (regardless of what skincare you use). However, it is important to note that the use of certain active ingredients and products may increase skin’s susceptibility to sunburn. For this reason, it is recommended to pair the use of our serums and exfoliating products with the use of an SPF product.
Are Viviology skincare products safe to use during pregnancy?
As a skincare brand, we are unable to provide specific advice regarding the use of skincare products during pregnancy and recommend that you consult with a medical professional. In terms of general guidance, we recommend against commencing a new highly active skincare regime during pregnancy, as your skin is likely to have undergone significant change and will be more responsive than normal. We also recommend against using Vitamin A / Retinol products during both pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as moderating use of exfoliant products.
I’ve noticed a change in the colour of the formulation from my last purchase - should I be concerned?
To ensure that we maintain a high level of quality, stability and efficacy across our range, we source the highest quality ingredients from leading suppliers. Our formulations also undergo rigorous test and quality control procedures. From time to time and between batches, you may notice a small-moderate change in the colour or appearance of our formulations. This is completely normal and the result of natural colour variations in our raw materials. Please call our Customer Service team on +613 9344 1671 if you have any concerns.
I’ve noticed a tingling sensation when using Viviology skincare products - should I be concerned?
You may experience a very mild ‘tingling’ sensation when using certain Viviology products (Liquid Exfoliant, Vitamin C Serum or Retinol 0.3% Serum). This is usually expected with these types of products and the sensation should not cause discomfort or result in excessive skin redness. If you do experience discomfort, redness or a burning sensation, we suggest removing product from skin as quickly as possible using cool water and gently patting skin dry with a towel. Please cease use of product immediately and consult with your doctor
Is Viviology tested on animals?
Absolutely not, we are proudly vegan and cruelty-free. Viviology skincare products are only tested on willing (and discerning!) human volunteers.
What is Viviology’s approach to recycling and sustainability?
We’ve adopted a planet-positive approach to our packaging with many of our tubes and bottles made using between 30% - 50% post consumer recycled materials and our tubes can be recycled after use (once the cap has been removed). Our unit carton boxes are also completely recyclable, printed using soy-based inks and made from FSC materials.
The pump on my Viviology Serum bottle doesn’t appear to work - what should I do?
To maintain active ingredient potency and formulation efficacy, we’ve elected to package our serums in airless pump bottles. Airless pump bottles prevent oxygen from reaching the formulation and degrading the ingredients, however, they do require the pump to be ‘primed’ before first use. To prime the pump on first use, depress and release the pump slowly several times until product appears.
